My contribution
As the product has been developed in the Venture Studio my main task involved taking the product from the idea stage to the MVP. I’ve been responsible for feature prioritization based on user research and competitors analysis. I created product flow chart, user stories, UX design of the App and well as assisted in UI design of the App elements, logo and an interactive prototype creation. Next, I recruited an external development house to whom I handed over the project and its requirements. Later, I coordinated the initial development activities. At the same time I’ve been implementing the conversation to the Bot framework and design and executed usability tests of the conversation design via messenger.
Product flow chart and User stories
User interviews
Competitor analysis
Based on the user interviews and competitor analysis I have identified the MVP of the product. I presented it to the team through the use stories and product flow chart. During a brainstorming session with the internal stakeholders we adjusted the initial stories and product flow.
User Experience (UX)
UX research
UX design
In order to build the optimal UX for the users I have started the UX research with the competitor analysis. The UX design was based on the design principles as well as Material Design deign guide for React technology.
UI design
Handover to the designer
Creating mockups
Creating interactive prototypes
The initial UI task involved a handover of the UX design to the UI designer. I have walked the designer through the wireframes and explained screens as well as element states and edge cases. When the style guide was created I assisted in creating mockups in order to optimize the speed of the process. Lastly, I created an interactive prototype and run the design review with the team.
Development & Testing
Choice of the development house
Implementation of the conversation
Testing of the conversation design
In parallel to the UX & UI activities of the app, I have been in charge of choosing an external development house as well as creating and handing over the product documentation. Also, I’ve been running daily stand-ups with the development team as well as participated in app review sessions. While doing that I’ve been implementing the conversations to a Chatbot tool, which I deployed on messenger connected to a co-creation group.
In order to evaluate the conversation design I prepared and executed tests with the messenger users. As a result we have identified the main conversation braking points, graphical elements which were not evoking the right feeling as well as confusing conversation formulation.
