JAGDER - online platform for hunters
Project summary
JAGDER is a digital platform that facilitates the process of connecting hunters with landowners. The concept utilizes the principles of shared economy, while easing the searching, reviewing, and booking process.
My contributions
I joined the project at the idea stage as a Co-founder which enabled me to participate in the initial Business Model Generation, the idea validation as well as conceptualization, platform design and marketing. Below you can read about the Idea validation done through the mix method: Quantitative interviews and Expert interviews, Conceptualization via User Journey Mapping and Sketching as well as MVP prototyping (wireframes) and testing using a think-aloud method.
Idea Validation
Quantitative questionnaire
Expert interviews
The main goal was to validate the pains and habits of Danish hunters & prove the business opportunity within the industry. It was done by gathering feedback from 343 hunters, who took part in the online questionnaire. The results not only identified the current struggles and habits of Danish hunters, but also defined the digital literacy of the TG. In order to follow up on the findings I conducted expert interviews with 3 experienced hunters, which gave a detailed insight to the current practices as well as pointed out the possible solutions to the problems.
Conceptualization
User Journey Mapping
Sketching
Due to the two-sided nature of the platform the user journeys were created from the perspective of Landowner and Hunter. Having an overview of the user flows a brainstorming and co-creation workshop was conducted with experts and founders. As a result the MVP of the product was defined and visualized by the sketches.
Prototyping & testing
Mockups
Think-aloud usability test
Based on the hand-drown sketches the wireframes of the website were created. In order to test the usability the product designer made mockups. I have conducted the think-aloud usability test with 5 representatives from our TG. The feedback gathered during the sessions discovered minor usability challenges. Namely, lack of sufficient content on the top menu, difficulty of understanding the context of the website without scrolling, wrong search criteria as well as lack of description of 'Top hunts' section. The improvements were visualized on the second iteration of the wireframes.
